RESTORING DEGRADED FOREST LANDSCAPES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH STATE AND NON-STATE ACTORS..
2021-2030 is declared United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
TaLRO is partnering with state and non-state actors to restore degraded forest landscapes in different landscapes,
including in global biodiversity hotspots such as the Coastal Forests of Eastern Africa Biodiversity Hotspot (e.g. Pugu-Kazimzumbwi Forest Nature Reserve).
All restoration efforts by TaLRO, also contributes to global efforts to implement the Global Biodiversity Framework
– Vision 2050 ‘living in harmony with nature’ (manifested as a world where “By 2050, biodiversity is valued, conserved, restored and wisely used,
maintaining ecosystem services, sustaining a healthy planet and delivering benefits essential for all people”).
‘The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021 - 2030 is a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems across the world,
for the benefit of people and nature. It aims to halt the degradation of ecosystems and restore them to achieve global goals.
