2021-2030 is declared United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. TaLRO is partnering with state and non-state actors to restore degraded forest landscapes in different landscapes, including in global biodiversity hotspots such as the Coastal Forests of Eastern Africa Biodiversity Hotspot (e.g. Pugu-Kazimzumbwi Forest Nature Reserve).
All restoration efforts by TaLRO, also contributes to global efforts to implement the Global Biodiversity Framework – Vision 2050 ‘living in harmony with nature’ (manifested as a world where “By 2050, biodiversity is valued, conserved, restored and wisely used, maintaining ecosystem services, sustaining a healthy planet and delivering benefits essential for all people”).
